2010 Racing Season Just Around the Corner. -- Wednesday, February 10 2010
The wait is over and within a few weeks the local 2010 dirt season will begin!

Late October and still racing @ LMS -- Sunday, October 25 2009
Logan visited the state fair, and saw the gamecocks last night. I got to catch up with some ole friends from Pal-Med Diabetic Supplies once again, and meet some new ones.

Too bad Hal got to "doggie sit" for the night. The most amazing thing was the camper. Dan you are the man getting that camper in like you did, with just enough room to get the slide out.

I agree nice to be able to sleep after a game instead of beat the traffic. Hopefully I can make it down again before the season is over.

Also dont forget fans its 10/31 week again. Time to remember the birth of 2 of the greatest things know to man this week.

Thats right its time to cross the bridge!

Words of Wizdom..... -- Thursday, August 20 2009
Always be prepared. There have only been 2 times in my life when I wasnt prepared. The 1st time was when Bree told me she was pregnant. The other time well........... Ill keep that to myself.

What can you do? Just make sure it doesnt happen again.

Lancaster 7/11/09 -- Monday, July 13 2009
Red Rocket got back to the winners circle at LMS. Congrats McGuirt on another win.

The young guns had a field of 7 racers. Its nice to see this group growing week after week.

Kind of surprised at the number of Sportsman Crates. The final score shows 6 on the night. This class was one of the stronger ones last season. It would be nice to have at least 12 each night in this class.

The Pure Street crowd ended up with 13 on the night. Congrats to Steve Hinson on another win for 2009. I would assume this group had a few cautions, but I cant verify it.

Super Street continues to the class for LMS. They had 16 and its a field with many racers that can win week in and week out. They put on a show to say the least.

The NDRA late models only had 6 cars running for $1000. I know Cherokee had a big race for $5000 to win, but this class sure isnt what it used to be. They used to have 15 each an every week just a short time ago.

Good Luck to all this week wherever you may choose to race.

Racing July 4th. -- Sunday, July 5 2009
Looked like a great crowd on hand at LMS this weekend. Sorry to hear that Rocket had some bad luck. Look for those afterburners back in the winners circle next week.

Back to The Future -- Sunday, June 14 2009
Guys had a busy last few weeks, and have not had time to update. LMS seemed to have there surface smooth last week. LMS also had increase payouts and brought back the Rookie 4 division. Even with the payouts I was surprised at the # of cars in LLM and CLM. It is nice that every other week the locals will have less cars so they can get the much appreciated money.

Had some "stuff" for work this week, testing this Saturday, birthday party, and also had to cut the grass yet again.

This weekend should be a packed house at LMS with no local NDRA race, and I-77 taking the week off. Should be a good'en.

Late Call -- Wednesday, June 3 2009
Made a late call to attend I-77 this past weekend. It was a good choice, a lot of racing, and excitement. We last attended I-77 for the 2008 Shrine Race. A lot of the results were the same. T1 and #9 put on a show in crate late model for about 3 laps, going door to door. The track was rough, but those 2 checked out to take the top 2 spots. Timbo and Big John won there respective heats.

Rookie 4 was a wreck fest to be honest. Good to see Peebo Johnson win the Pure Street feature. Its been a long couple weeks for that family. Congrats Peebo and if we can help let us know.

All in all it was good night of racing at I-77, and not everything seems to be getting better and better at I-77 cause the bugs sure were biting.

Been a While -- Sunday, May 17 2009
Sorry guys I havent updated the site, I have been busy. I know you all check it out cause the hits are pretty high.

On May 9th I got to take in LMS. I arrived to notice a lot of wrecker lights ect, which is common place for certain divisions. I also got to see Colt take his horse threw the woods, man what a ride. It was nice to see Colt uninjured during his ride for the night.

The night was wild one, but it was nice to see Andy Hodges take the crate win and the $1000 prize money. Timbo Mangum took 2nd.

John Pursley won the late model main event. Super Street was a run away as Brandy Baker took the win without much pressure.

The Gamecock came out of retirement to win yet again in Pure Street. Steve Hinson had another solid finish to continue his powerful start to 2009.

Jeff McGuirt won yet again in SS4. I tell you what when that machine is on.. its over for the competition. Congrats Rocket on another win for 2009.

Congrats also goes out to Brandon Blackmon who picked up win #2 for his career. Good Job Brandon!

I-77 News-
I enjoyed the video from the I-7 video crew. It proved yet again that Timbo Mangum had his gave face on 5-2-09. He had the whole field by half a lap, and that was with quite a few cautions. I-77 also received rain this past weekend. This Saturday they will have a $1200 to win crate late model race. I hate to miss that one, but Ill be at the beach. Also check out lowes motor speedway this Friday Night. Good Luck T1 this weekend.

LMS gets rained out 5/2/09 Timbo takes I-77 Money -- Sunday, May 3 2009
LMS moved over for rain this weekend. The guys will give it another shot next weekend.

At other tracks, Timbo Mangum, took home the big pot of money over at I-77. Mangum picked up the $1200 payday. The team will now focus on upcoming events as they prepare to possibly do some traveling in the weeks to come.

LMS going off like fireworks!! -- Tuesday, April 28 2009
Seems LMS will be remembered this past weekend for what happened after the races. LMS car count was reported to have an increase of about 3 cars per class from the previous week.

As has been the case in crate lates this year one man walks away with the win. The T1 of Timbo Mangum took the win by a full straightaway over the 2nd place finisher. Keep working guys its never as bad as it seems, but that T1 will continue to be strong.

Congrats to those guys you have it hooked up and rolling for sure. It might be easier to hook a chain to the train cause T1 is coming thru. Good luck this week at I-77.

Kenny Ramsey again had trouble in the Sportsman Crate division. The 2009 season hasnt been kind to Kenny. The Prodigy will have to have the #22 reclipped before this coming weeks race.

The Pure Street main couldnt be explained. I think it ending with LMS infield looking like a scene from COPS. Ill leave that for itself to be sorted out.

The Red Rocket took the win yet again at LMS. He does it up in style to win yet again. Congrats to #07 and team on yet another win.

Super Street feature was taken by Jody Bigham for his 1st win of 2009. He and Allen surely have that thing running. Congrats to those guys on the win.

Brandon Blackmon picked up his 1st career win this past weekend. Congrats to Brandon. He led every lap the previous week until the last lap. Brandon didnt allow that to happen this week. Congrats to the lil man.

Lancaster Racing -- Thursday, April 23 2009
We took Logan to his 1st race of 2009 this past weekend. He said he wanted to go so we went. Most thought that I-77 would take away from the racing at LMS. I can vouch that was not he case. The late models and crates were run aways, but they have been so far for 2009 at LMS. The real racing comes in the lower divisions, however Red Rocket had liftoff yet again. It seems that group will be again chasing his back bumper in 09. Mr. 07 seems to have gotten the monkey off his back so look out. Congrats Jeffrey!

Sure LMS lost some cars for the night to another track. It's kind of like a tick stuck to a hound dog close or not. It might look good in the box score, but was it really that good kind of thing you know. Kenny Ramsey went to i-77 and I understand why, with the new rules at LMS that class is now unlimited *not what it was intended for*.

Super Street put on the best show of the night by far. When all the dirt stopped flying, and all engines that didnt blow were left Jeff Langley won the main. Pure Street also put on a good show as usual. Jerry Sexton had the lead late, and as time expired, Steve Hinson again took the win.

LMS has at least 8 cars in each class, and no one was missed that went across the road. This week LMS should have a packed house, which usually means something will get torn up!!!!

Week 2 Thoughts an Observations -- Friday, April 10 2009
Bailes, Bailes and more Bailes! Ross Bailes won Late Model and Crate Late Model during week #2. The Clover native put the hammer down an never looked back. Ross led flag to flag in both mains. During the crate racing Brandy Baker and Timbo Mangum were the only ones that could stay close to #87. The caution flew before completing lap #1, and that was the only think holding #87 back.

Wes Helms took his 2nd SS4 feature win of 2009. Chase Wilson lead most of the race before #98 took the lead about mid way thru the race.

Mikey Hough lead the sportsman crate racers until a broken axle ended his night. S1 took the lead at that point finishing ahead of The Prodigy Kenny Ramsey.

Pure Street gained a few cars for week #2. A new comer lead the way before experiencing troubles. Jason Starnes picked up the win, his 1st of 2009.

Good Luck to Jeff McGuirt this week he has had a run of bad luck. Go get'em #07! Good Luck also to Timbo and company at LMS this weekend.

I will be attending the Gamecocks Spring Game with the family this week.

Week #1 At Lancaster Speedway -- Wednesday, March 25 2009
Baker gets two wins to open the 2009 season at LMS. Baker lead flag to flag in both races to win Super Street, and NDRA Crate Late Models which had numerous cautions. It seemed the race was broken down into 3 -4 lap segments.

Wes Helms also took the checkers to open 2009 in the Super Stock Four opener. He passed c23 of Chase Wilson after he picked up a push late in the race. Jeffrey Mcguirt came home 3rd after experiencing trouble during the heat race.

Travis Payne lead all the way to win the opener in Sportsman Crate. This group had a few cautions but for the most part a clean race.

Steve Hinson took the Pure Street opener. James Marion took 2nd place. The field started with 11 on the night, a rather small number for this group. They likely had the fewest cautions in the past 5 years, since the # of cars is smaller.

Andrew Yandle took the win in Young Guns. He won after Baker was declared to light in post race inspection. Young Guns started with 7 cars I think. The kids and one lady put on a great show.

Good Luck to all, and to all a Goood Night.
